Mechanical Property Information
Mechanical Properties such as ductility, tensile strength, shear strength, collapse strength, burst strength, and fatigue life of porous materials are highly dependent on the porosity and the processing method. Typical values for tensile strength, elongation and shear strength of 90% copper / 10% tin Bronze and 316L stainless steel discs are shown below.

Filter grades in micrometers are estimated by bubble point test method.
The theoretical mean density for wrought bronze is 8.8 g/cm³ and for 316L SS is 8.0 g/cm³.
